It's been done before. Somebody on here has done it. And there was a black 79(i think) on ebay with round headlights (that one had a solstice drivetrain)

I've never done it myself but I believe one hole needs to be drilled in the core support, and a little trimming on the inside top edge... wouldn't you rather sell them to me though?
