No rob, I am not driving without shocks:-) Troubleshooting usually involves eliminating possibilities one and a time, so I did remove them and drove it about w/o em to prove or disprove the possibility, which did show me the shocks themselves, or any of the mount points were the cause :-)

I am always amused at the vision of not having shocks and driving a chevette like the Dukes Of Hazard, up and over the hale bale and having the entire rear axle, and the springs just drop out
