Mike,
following a recent visit to my old regimental association in HK, (the RHKRv) I noticed several old photographic prints of Stonecutters Island from the turn of the 19th Century & into the early 20th. These fascinating prints used to belong to the Officers Mess of the RHKR(v)and they are now, since the disbandment of the regiment, adorning the cook-house walls of an old HK police barracks in the NT at High Island!
The barracks is run by the new administration's Adventure Corp.- similar to the Junior Corp. of the old RHKR(v).. Instructors are from former members of the regiment & PLA. I have asked the trustees of the Regimental Association to copy these prints and to make them available for your site. They see little problem in this request but for copyright reasons would want to ensure that these unique photographs are protected from unauthorised copying; a reasonable request. I have suggested that they perhaps negotiate a royalty agreement. Something you may not want to contemplate - what say you? I can assure you that the photographs are of historical importance and portray scenes very few, if anyone, who has visited Stonecutters will have ever seen. B&W photographs of tented lines for annual camp on the island, parades in the 20's / 30's etc. Your comments appreciated.

I am the founder member of the Bletchley Park Trust and I am researching the early days of intelligence gathering in the Far East. I served there during the Korean War 1950-1952 on HMS Cossack, Amphibious Observation Detachment Royal Artillery - we used it as a revolver range - and then on HMS Belfast. S'cutters was the main radio station for RN traffic, and had been since 1925. I am looking for early photos of S'cutters for a display of Far East Intelligence 1924-1941.. Any around, please?
