Yes well I too spent some time in this hole of a place, as a guest of Her Majesty.
The RAN thought I might benefit from some confinement there. I had just finished tours of Borneo,Malaysia,Mallacca and Vietnam and was suffering from PTSD and subsequently went of the rails and got into trouble.And soI spent my last days in the Navy there. I had just turned 18 and it was July 1966.I had just experienced 4 different war campaigns before turning 18, I was very young and should not have been exposed to so much fear. Anyway big tuff Navy put me away in this bloody hole,run by old and angry British has been bullies. I was abused physically and sexually by inmates during my incarceration...So I haven't got any fond memories of "STONE CUTTERS"
