Dave I was there around that time. My boat was in refit in Guzz (HMS Swiftsure) and we had the chance to do something other than sea time.
I had the time of my life and remember the Hovercraft Unit guys as a very professional bunch who didn't mind in the least when a sun dodger moved among them!
It's tragic now to think that what I remember of the Island is now part of a great big foot for the bridge support for the transport system to Lantau Island.
Fine times indeed!
