I served with this unit during the Eighties. Loan draft from the UK and had the time of my life. I have very fond memories of the lads based on the island. A very laid back and thouroughly professional crew.
Island jumping and taking riot police to Lantau Island to qwell riots occuring there stand out in my mind. Also racing the jet aircraft as they gathered take off speed on Kai Tak airport in the hovercraft.
Life was fun then.
