On my last trip to Hong Kong and enroute to and from the airport Yvonne and I were in a limousine and as the walls on the bridge are quite high we were not able to see much, it would have been better to see the island if we had been on a bus, It is still called 'Stonecutters Island' and there is a signpost to that effect on the road to the airport. Progress has not done much for Kowloon, it is not possible to see the horizon because of all the high rise flats which also keep any breeze away making it very hot and more humid than I remember it from days gone by. The street markets are in most cases still fun, the ones in Mong Kok (Ladies Markets) are pretty good.
