Taney County is under a Severe weather watch, citing a flood warning, that FLOODING is imminent... guess what major METROPOLITAN REGION Taney county belongs too?
According to WIKIPEDIA:
Springfield is the third largest city in the state of Missouri and the county seat of Greene County.[6] According to the 2010 census data, the population was 159,498, an increase of 5.2% since the 2000 census.[7] It is one of the two principal cities of the Springfield-Branson Metropolitan Area, which has a population of 537,631 and includes the counties of Christian, Dallas, Greene, Polk, Webster, Stone and Taney.
Now while Taney County is currently under Flood warning, earlier Greene County, Christian County
and Stone county were under Flood warnings, and FLOODING actually occurred in Christian County...all counties in and part of the GREATER SPRINGFIELD MISSOURI METROPOLITAN Complex.
Now on this very board this afternoon...what was it that was given of the SPIRIT to pay heed to, to "WATCH AND PRAY" about?
It was this was it not...
and so at that time there was no severe weather in Springfield, but as the hours passed about 5 hours or so...at 7 pm or so, severe storms were then in the area of Springfield...
2 hours later, flooding was occurring in the Greater Springfield Metro county of Christian...
Winds and flooding rains continued pounding the area and approaching 11 pm and shortly after...other counties in the Greater Springfield Metro were dealing with threats of flooding, and experiencing damage from winds...
These are the counties in Missouri reporting storm damage in the last 24 hours:
This may be over for this evening, but the coming days may see far more extensive damage in this region, perhaps not.
For those who were paying attention, who offered your prayers for the region, I thank you.
For those who lay in wait to offer more mockery...
Just a rain shower right? No big deal right?
Yeah...perhaps, but then again...
