relflects various regions discussed in this study which seeks a city lost to History, only guessed at to it’s original location. We begin in such quest to look at the “guesswork of Scholars”, and in dispelling their conclusions, we then set out to find “The KINGDOM OF NO.” The purpose of our quest is greater than to discover the location of an ancient city, for the treasure we seek is not some ancient relic, but rather our prize is ‘THE TRUTH”, and to find such, we must embark in this study upon a quest to the actual location of a lost Kingdom, in Order to identify it's Queen. IN finding her, we may then verify her presence in prophecy given in the Old Testament, to see if such ancient prophecy may have actually been fulfilled in our generation, and if so, then the signficance of the same revelation, brings our prize, “THE TRUTH” of our actual position on God’s Prophetic timeline, strongly emphasized for those who care to pay attention spiritually to THESE times.
In previous studies, we have taken note that in the1930’s and American Preacher named Victor Houteff gained a wide following due his prophetic insight on scripture. We have in previous studies noted that David Koresh later did likewise. We note both Preachers, these ANNOINTED servants of God, prophecied heavily from the book of Nahum. And in previous Studies, we placed recent events of the last 80 years in American History, and in Church History with regards to the Seventh Day Adventists, the Davidian Seventh Day Adventists, the Branch Davidian Seventh Day Adventists, and then later David Koresh’s “STUDENTS OF THE SEVEN SEALS”…are all seen easily pointing that MODERN REPLAY of the BOOK OF NAHUM has been in effect for the last 80 years, and is reaching towards it’s conclusion. This Conclusion, we have pointed by other passages of scripture and events, has STRONG parallel timing to events foretold to come to pass, and some we see have already begun such, from “THE BOOK OF THE REVELATION OF CHRIST” Found in the King James Bible.
In Nahum 3:8 a question is asked….concerning the POPULOUS “NO”, a feminine Hebrew title. There is a common understanding of the passage, but as most things common where scripture is concerned, the notions are false. THE word used in the AUTHENTIC King James Version, is NOT “No-amon” or other such offerings, it is simply….”Art thou better than the populous No, that was situate among the rivers.
Smiths Bible dictionary offers:
No-amon” means temple of Amon
No-amon: (Nahum 3:8) No, (Jeremiah 46:25; Ezekiel 30:14,16) a city of Egypt, better known under the name of Thebes or Diospolis Magna, the ancient and splendid metropolis of upper Egypt The second part of the first form as the name of Amen , the chief divinity of Thebes, mentioned or alluded to in connection with this place in Jeremiah. There is a difficulty as to the meaning of No. It seems most reasonable to suppose that No is a Shemitic name and that Amen is added in Nahum (l.c.) to distinguish Thebes from some other place bearing the same name or on account of the connection of Amen with that city. The description of No-amon as "situated among the rivers, the waters round about it" (Nah. l.c.), remarkably characterizes Thebes. (It lay on both sides of the Nile, and was celebrated for its hundred gates, for its temples, obelisks, statues. etc. It was emphatically the city of temples, in the ruins of which many monuments of ancient Egypt are preserved, The plan of the city was a parallelogram, two miles from north to south and four from east to west, but none suppose that in its glory if really extended 33 miles along both aides of the Nile. Thebes was destroyed by Ptolemy, B.C. 81, and since then its population has dwelt in villages only. --ED.)

From “THE INTERNATIONAL BIBLE ENCYCOPEDIA” we find the following background offered on a Historic City (Never lost to time) called “NO-AMON” which resided on the Egyptian Nile River:
NO-AMON
no-a'-mon (no' 'amon, Egyptian nut, "a city," with the feminine ending t, and Amon, proper name of a god, City Amon, i.e. the "City," paragraph excellence, of the god Amon; translated in the King James Version "populous No," following the Vulgate (Jerome's Latin Bible, 390-405 A.D.) in a misunderstanding of the word 'amon; the Revised Version (British and American) "No-amon"): Occurs in this form only in Nah 3:8, but 'amon minno', "Amon of No," occurs in Jer 46:25. Compare also Ezek 30:14-16, where no', is undoubtedly the same city.
The description of No-amon in Nah 3:8 seems to be that of a delta city, but yam, "sea" in that passage is used poetically for the Nile, as in Job 41:31 and in Isa 18:2. With this difficulty removed, the Egyptian etymology of the name leaves no doubt as to the correct identification of the place. The "City Amon" in the days of Nahum, Jeremiah and Ezekiel was Thebes (compare the article "Thebes" in any general encyclopedia).

This logic above, SOUNDS GOOD, especially when you got a bunch a MA, DD, GE, M-O-U-S-E abbreviations going on, but this, is not correct and inspiration will reveal such.
Note what M.G. Kyle surmises, that “SEA” is poetic, such is an excuse, it is not the truth. Such was a means to draw a conclusion to make the existing facts which did not fit the "TRUTH", fit anyway, to provea Theory. The simple truth of the matter is, THEBES WAS NOT LOCATED BY THE SEA.
The Reason M.G. Kyle and other shcolars could not see the truth of the matter, is similiar to the situation of Ellen White and William Miller with regards to the 3rd Angels message. Sister White in her writings, stated that Brother Miller could not see the 3rd Angel because God had his hand over that Angel, shielding the 3rd Angel and his message from Brother Miller. In like fashion, these scholars of times past, while reaching to arrive at the best possible conclusion for their respective eras, simply could not see the whole truth of the matter regarding this city, this POPULOUS of "NO" spoken of in Nahum, as There was a mystery hid in this passage to the TIME OF THE END.
That summation of "NO" offered prior by M.G. Kyle was not in reference to the world in Nahum’s day, but M.G. Kyle addresses’ THEBES in NAHUM’s day as well, noting there existed a CITY Called “City amon” or “NO amon.”
BUT NAHUM makes a clear Declaration that the CITY he spoke of, in chp 3 vs 10, HAD ALREADY BEEN TAKEN AWAY. And Nahum’s prophecy was given at least 400 years B.C.E or prior, and the City of Thebes would not be taken away until 81 B.C.E, 319 years AFTER NAHUM was speaking! The fact that the CITY sat of THEBES sat on both sides of the Nile, only presents a situation where by a RIVER is enclosed, by A CITY, not the other way around. Clearly, THEBES by consideration of geographical terrain; and by historical chronolgy as Nahum references a CITY that was ALREADY TAKEN AWAY in his day some 319 years prior to THEBES being taken away; then CLEARLY BY THESE OBSERVATIONS...THEBES was not the city being referenced.
THE CITY Is named, simply as “NO”. So if THEBES is ruled out as This Populous Nahum referred to as "NO", then where was this city?
Well, consider a strong testimony.
Archeologists have determined that the regions of northern Ethiopia and the areas of Asmara, Massawa and the region now called Eritrea, were once thought to have picked up Semitic Language from across the ocean, in Arabia. And in the regions we now call YEMEN. And then migrated over the Red Sea carrying their language with them. But recent discoveries, while there were such migrations, have discovered a Semitic presence of influence as far back as approx 2000 B.C.E.
