Zog - our snow for this year had been zero til 3 days before THE storm - and that had been just a dusting. It has been so mild this winter that I have not even used up 1/3 of my wood supply for this winter. I credit it to the fact that I was finally able to put up wood for not only this winter, but now have my wood in for next winter too. At this rate of use, I'll be ahead by half towards the third winter. That is - iffiness we don't end up with the winter from hell next winter and I end up burning 1 1/2 winter's worth! hah!
Oh - and btw - I ended up with 32" of that ooooooooh soooooooo nice (heh) white powdery stuff - which indeed IS a four letter word!
As I type, the warm temps of the last two days has compressed/melted it down to 12" of very heavy white stuff. :-(
Just the first 1/5'th of my driveway has been plowed. Neighbor's tractor kept bottoming out when trying to plow my drive. I'm hoping that with the warm temps returning the next few days that I'll get to see "dirt" again come Sun/Mon. If need be, I can sit up here on my hill the rest of the winter - except the only thing I am not prepped for is enough dog food. Only got a month supply in - never got around to stocking more. Baaaaad me. But I'm sure my dog wouldn't be upset if she had to ever end up eating a balance diet of "people" food - if the need came along. hehehe
seamus old friend - you need to get "out" more! hahaha. It's yer birthday - you need to be out doing a happy dance!
It's yer birthday it's yer birthday it's yer birthday . . .
Happy "late" B'Day seamus!!!
