Here is an article agreeing with me with some detail.

They just keep expanding, and building their military. Once they achieve what they believe to be dominant force, well..that's all she wrote, they will become the global topdog in short order and will be able to make even the USA blink and back off.
And I have no idea what the numbers are, with them exporting masses of people, students/workers/businessmen/military trainers, etc..but they must already have *millions* of assets in place all over the planet.
And it won't matter much if they don't have the absolute best technology, they can achieve "good enough" with a scale that dwarfs everything else. We build one whizzbang something, they can build ten near whizz bang somethings for the same money. That's why looking at their mil budget in terms of US dollars equivalent spent is not an accurate measure. I see analysts say "well, look at the US mil budget, why it is blah blah billions, more than china.." and other complete drivel. They *never* take into account how much can be done with a buck or yuan over there compared to the US or western europe. They sort of ignore that.
Simple thought experiment, one billion buck top of the line fighter jet..versus 100 mass produced "good enough" anti aircraft missiles, coming in waves from different directions..who wins?
That's the kind of manufacturing advantage they have now. Think back to ww2, what won the war? Answer is, USA with mass production of "good enough" equipment. Herr Shcikelgruber had some pretty darn good engineering advances and topshelf equipment, planes/tanks/ships/subs, etc..but couldn't get the stuff built and into service in the speed and numbers required to dominate. The USA just slap outbuilt everyone, with "good enough" gear, and that's what worked. Ya, and they got to nukes first, again, krautville was trying, but didn't get it done in time.
Well..jiss what has been going on the last three decades now? Who is topdog manufacturer of most anything and can pump it out in enough numbers to take over any market they want?
