Right. Benelli's set you back a grand or better, or did. Haven't looked at anything in decades, being in California and having given up my "stuff" that I had for years.
Anyway, I threw that your way because of the "Georgia" tagline.
Obfuscator, huh?
There jest ain't too many of us old times "Wordsmen" left.
Perhaps Seamus could throw one in. Or Gunnar.
I already have a reputation on Facebook, but must quit.
Savin the world over and over again cost everything. I even have to just drool over the Bike info that Vlad sent a couple years ago, when I customized it and put it on desktop.
Arlean says hello to all. She now has her daughter in South America with her.
She loves it. Fresh food, organic and fresh air.
Gunnar, as far as we know, left that Island.
I knew his plan B years ago, but rumor had it that he was in Chile, definitely not his original Plan B.
I would pick Chile myself. Almost had that "deal" back in about 1989 where we would go there with a "close" relative of the THEN President into a lucrative business. I studied everything I could about the country, plus some locals here were anxious to LEAVE the USA to which they had fought to emigrate. (legally)
One guy and I were destined to really be friends when/if the deal went down. He was an ex-priest who was tortured by the Allende' commies, escaped and fought them until that era ended.
I asked one very sharp woman why she wanted to return to Chile.
"Mostly crime", she said. "My children have not been safe in our part of Sacramento. Beaten up for lunch money, bicycles stolen, men openly staring at my butt and making remarks. Women being raped in shopping malls, etc."
"Why would Chile be different", asked me, the innocent.
"For one thing, the average rapist caught in the act, or close, lives about a week tops. And if it's out of the Cities into the countryside, quite often the law enforcement simply turns them over to the brothers, fathers, husbands, uncles"
"In fact", said she, " now that two women can go to the opera or some such function without a man escort, let's say my friend and I left the opera late, clickety clicked our high heels down the sidewalk to find a telephone booth, we'd have zero fear of being raped"
There was much more, but we found it fascinating that people struggled to get here, went through citizenship and now were anxious to return. And not just simply homesickness, for they'd been here ten to twenty years.
Who started this?
Roberto Benelli O'Malley
