The LORD is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
my dear brothers and sisters
08:13 Hours, 30 May, 2011. The wind howls here in S.W. Oklahoma, the sun is on the rise and it is cool outside as my day begins. I sit here in my living room settled down with a hot cup of coffee and sullen in heart and thought as I reflect upon the nature of this Day. Memorial Day 2011. today we still actively occupy and fight in foreign lands far from home, Iraq, Afghanistan and as members of the U.N. Peacekeeping force...Libya. As a veteran of a foreign war, I have bled with, fought with and for, cried with and comforted those that have fought and died for those that were oppressed and did not know Freedom and Liberty. My heart is Deeply saddened as I see the state of this country and the events of Durress around the world during these times of prophetic turmoil and darkness. Today as you live out your daily tasks and travels, take time to honor the fallen who have sacrificed the ultimate for you, I, this country, its people and the free throughout the world. Give of yourself the time to comfort those that grief for a loved one that has fallen and not returned home or is missing in action. Seek out and hug a Vet, welcome him or her home, smile and embrace the the guardian, provider of your freedom. Through out the Country, Veterans and people will assemble and place reefs in places of rememberance and cemetaries in honor of these Fallen Veterans and protectors of Liberty. Flags are displayed on the Graves of your guardians as they rest eternally in defense of Freedom. God Bless you all and lots of Love
Your brother
Dan
O Lord
even when we are at war, make us instruments of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let us plant the seeds of your love;
Where there is injury....pardon;
Where there is doubt....faith;
Where there is despair....hope;
Where there is darkness....light;
Where there is sadness....Joy.
O Lord, even when we are at war, make us instruments of your peace.
where there is injustice, let us plant the seeds of justice;
Where there is pride....humility;
Where there is anger....restraint;
Where there is brutality....kindness;
Where there is fear....courage;
Where there is blindness....wisdom.
O'Lord, even when we are at war, make us insruments of your peace.
Take the good seeds that we plant,
and grow them into good blessings
for the sake of your Name and your Kingdom.
Amen
