How many times have you heard that preached from the pulpit?

My Bible says differently.
John 8:44 (NIV)"You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies."

If you are the father of anything, you created it.Now let's look into that kingdom a little bit, and see what his lies have birthed.

Pride:
Isaiah 14:
"12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High."

Murder:
Genesis 3:
" 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."

Adam & Eve were actually the first scheduled to be 'murdered' as the devil knew they would eventually die for disobeying God, who intended for mankind to have eternal life.

1 Corinthians 6:9&10 (NIV)Now if the devil can't creat anything, who created these things that shut one out of God's Kingdom?
9: Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Jesus Christ, through His death and resurrection made it so simple to enter the Kingdom of God a 3 year old can find the Way!
