As the new year greets us in a few hours, I think its a good time for inner reflection. Each new year brings with it the hope for a brighter tomorrow. A chance to do things better or different. We make our resolutions and set our minds to beginning anew.

For each one of us, of the body of Christ, our "new beginning" happened at different times and in different ways. Some have known Christ since childhood while others have had the new beginning happen much later in life. With this new beginning came great joy. As the years go by it is important to remember to set aside time to "refresh" or "renew" this joy to give us strength for our journey ahead.

Let's all take a few moments tonight, and in the days ahead, to remember that new found joy, seek a refreshing from our Father, and walk in His love and wisdom in the coming year.
