Every word of your response to "How do you do dryers?" resonates, very powerfully, here. My proclivity is identical to yours and you could have been describing my own stimulation from early experiences onwards!
Even the words "Under the dryer" would register in my groin - especially when I was going to be dried and the sentence would be on the lines of: "Let's get you under the dryer now..." As a kid, just seeing people under dryers was exciting as I wondered just what they were going through. It always seemed quite intense as there would be red faces and expressions of suffering. For many years now, I've known exactly what it's like and always try to endure the dryer on its hottest setting for as long as possible - with some older dryers with half visors or totally metal hoods - they would enclose most of my head and the heat would become fierce. In a waterproof cape, much sweating occurs but it's all part of the dryer experience. I'd never describe it as painful but I've been roasted many times - being restrained under a hot dryer has a strong bondage element to it and can induce not only infernal suffering, but also, ultimately, extreme pleasure.
A school friend volunteered to take part in a hairdressing competition in which his hairdresser was taking part. I learned afterwards that four lads had been permed at the event and had been dried under turbinator dryers on a stage and facing an audience of professional hairdressers. He said they were under for about 45 minutes and he didn't think any of them had been given temperature controllers. They were all apparently impressed by their hairdos at the end but concurred that they had all been wondering just how much longer they could stand the severe heat and enclosure. If only I'd been in the audience!
