I have all the treasure maps now. I got the final one decoded by Tingle. I was just waiting until I circle the map for a final time to collect the last two treasures. One might just be a special chart showing the fairies, but I believe I've visited all of them (largest wallet, 99 bombs, 99 arrows).
I have all five Tingle statues now. The fifth one definitely depended on a guide/YouTube video, and I had no idea the chest would appear where it did just from me laying a bomb inside an area where you might only fall down by accident, or because you didn't have the new item that it takes to reach the top door of the room.
In my photo quest, I left off at picture #114 while I wait for the moon to change phases. I think you only need to take 124 photos, and 10 of the statues are a package deal or a special bonus. It feels strange to be down to the last 10. I know that one character already flew away from Dragon Roost Island, so I need to play a second time to take his picture. One boss room is down to needing just seven more "inhabitants." Then, it should be a special bonus statue in the Great Sea room, plus the Queen of the Fairies, who has some kind of "voodoo" doll or puppet, and she previously flirted with Link.
I wanted to leave about four or five statues and photos for the next time I play the game, instead of needing to finish them all on this quest. A few of them are bosses that will supposedly reappear in Ganon's Tower. Speaking of which, isn't Ganon specifically the pig or the animal form of the villain? I hope that's not spoiling something about the ending.
I can't reach Hyrule Castle again without two more collectibles. I know one comes from a regular buried treasure on the map, and the other one must come from the "Savage Labyrinth." My next play session will probably focus on the Savage Labyrinth.
I know I have 18.50 hearts now, which would leave six more pieces to find. One is at the Flight Control Platform. Before I tried to win that, I wanted to expand my magic meter. I was able to do that tonight. There's one on Needle Rock Isle where you just need your seagull to reach a high crystal (personally, I'd rather shoot an arrow). There's one buried in the mud on my home island (kind of a lame place to hide it?). I don't think I've beaten every Big Octo yet, and they usually drop a chest with a heart inside. Would that account for the rest of them? I won't really know until I do my final sailing in each quadrant.
There was one thing I looked forward to, but it felt kind of disappointing. You're required to complete the Ghost Ship. The hardest part about that felt like dodging all the Seahats that won't let you sail to the ship. Then you kind of board automatically, and it's a single room, like when you enter a submarine, or one of the tutorials from the pirate ship way early in the game. The point should be that, a Wizzrobe appeared right near me on the top level (before you go down the ladder), and then he kept picking the same corner right across the room (to reappear) for some reason. There are two Poe spirits who don't really come near you, and you take your time shining a convenient beam of light on them. It was at NIGHT when I entered the ship, so what was the light source? Maybe the moon? The only guy who sort of poses a challenge is the Stalfos with the spiked club and the whirling attack. I'd actually consider the cave on maybe the Boating Course to be harder, because there are infinite Miniblins swarming you as you try to aim your arrow at some crystals. Then, they don't even go away when the treasure chest appears!
With the pictures, there was also something weird that happened where I thought I was taking a picture of a white armored Darknut, but he had lost his armor. The picture was just amazing - almost perfectly centered and him holding the sword to the side. Too bad Carlov DELETED it and Miiverse went offline. I'm not sure if that was a guy with golden armor and a shield, but the figure ended up being golden armor with a shield. I hope I didn't miss the regular Darknut. There might be some with no shield? Then, Ganon's Tower seems to have a version with a tall sword and a cape. Not that I've even been to that tower yet!
The goal is, on the 7th, I would complete 100 hours, and I'll see what's left at that milestone. I might not know what to do with myself once this game is completed! Meanwhile, I didn't complete "Super Mario 3D World." I have a bunch of cups left in "Mario Kart 8." Then, I didn't even start playing "Super Mario Bros. U," "DKC: Tropical Freeze," "Super Mario Maker," "Pokken Tournament," "Breath of the Wild," ...
