How does that picture not include any version of NES or Famicom?!! If the question was about people and not games, I probably couldn't answer. My "first" would have to be after getting married. Even after 36 years (that just happened yesterday), it's hard to remember being in "love" with anyone, and them actually returning the affection.
With video games, my mom has this cool miniature version of "Pac-Man." It looks kind of like a really small arcade cabinet, and you move around with sticks (sort of contoured like upside down bowling pins). The graphics aren't true Pac-Man. It's a system of lights that somehow tracks all the pellets you eat and if a ghost touches you. I see it in the closet, but I won't test it right now (no reason to think it wouldn't work).
With consoles, I think the first one we got was the Atari 2600, but not the wood grain edition. I'm not sure what the other one was called. The body was really thin, almost a keyboard shape. There was this (fake?) metal bar with a thin rainbow across the middle.
For a true love, it's hard to pick. I have really good memories of some SNES games (plus, that was the X-Band era). Now, when I go back to an emulated "Super Mario Kart" on the virtual console, why are the tracks so short? Did the original visuals really look that flat? I think the controls aged pretty well. How about "NBA Jam," too? Have you seen someone playing the arcade ROM on YouTube? The courts have all these bold but plain colors (probably not allowed to use team logos?). The animation is just OK. The sound is all squeaky or garbled. Then, with the 16-bit ports for home systems, I'm surprised I enjoyed those games.
When you talk about the peak of controllers or those designs, I really love the GameCube controllers to this day. They might get passed by PS4 eventually. Both are pretty similar. GameCube feels like they designed it for your hand. It tries to distinguish at least three of the four "face" buttons by shape and size. No controller design does that anymore. Probably the bonuses from PS4 are how they add two triggers, which function like triggers. I mean, you might be able to do that on GameCube, too, depending on whether the curved shoulder buttons are really pressure sensitive (they do have a range of motion and eventually "click" as I recall). Plus, PS4 seems to have a "touchpad" built in the middle, but I'm not sure how that's used or if it's a gimmick. GCN has the rumble effect built-in (too bad the Wavebirds omitted that). Now I guess most controllers do the rumble internally.
I've probably been playing Nintendo 64 the most or for the longest number of years. There are just some games for that system which broke barriers that can't be "broken" again. Mario translating to 3D? Now that's almost expected, or they've tried to make him 2D again. Zelda in 3D was my first experience in that series, and I hope I'd still love that game if I played it today. You just remember almost EVERY minor character. You get to ride a horse! I actually beat the game the first time without being able to free Epona from the stable. There's much better music than the lame attempt to put music into "Twilight Princess" (pushing up or down on the analog stick). I liked shooting arrows and Deku seeds, even though I think it took until "Twilight Princess" for enemies to become a threat to shoot you with fire arrows.
So, I don't know if that answers everything or none of the above. If I had to be stranded somewhere, I think I'd actually bring along "Super Metroid" and "Metroid Prime." The drawback of "Metroid Prime" is how I need to turn on auto-lock to fire the super missiles (my hand wasn't steady enough with Wii motion controls). Then the game gets too easy in boss fights.
I still have my Game Boy Advance (clear yet blue/purple edition), but haven't really been able to get hooked on mobile gaming.
