I know exactly what you mean! Last winter, I started carrying a thicker balm in my coat pocket because the wind made my lips incredibly dry. Products with beeswax, shea butter, and cocoa butter worked quite well for me. I also found that applying a little before going outside helped prevent that uncomfortable tight feeling. Keeping a spare in your bag is useful, too!

One thing I'd recommend is looking for products that provide lasting moisture rather than just a temporary smooth feeling. I recently started exploring different lip care options and came across the lip oils section on https://bitchstix.com/product-category/lip-oils/. It is great if you're interested in trying something different from traditional balms. I usually look for nourishing ingredients such as jojoba oil, coconut oil, or vitamin E when comparing products. Another little trick is applying lip care before bedtime, so your lips get some attention overnight as well. A combination of daytime protection and a consistent evening routine can make winter much easier on dry lips.
