Book Formatting Services — What Actually Separates a Good Job From a Bad One?

I am at the point where my manuscript needs proper formatting before it goes anywhere near print or Amazon and honestly I have no idea what separates good book formatting services from someone who just tidies up margins and calls it a day. Things like chapter headings, page breaks, spacing and how the file needs to differ for print versus digital are all things I know very little about. A writer I know used Self Publishing Book UK and said the team handled both print and digital formatting properly
