Cruises are meant to be social, but many travelers still find it difficult to make friends on cruise trips. You’re surrounded by people, yet meaningful connections don’t always happen naturally.
Some travelers have no problem starting conversations and quickly finding cruise friends. But for others—especially solo travelers or those traveling with family—it can feel a bit random. Not everyone is comfortable approaching strangers, and sometimes you just don’t meet people with similar interests. That’s why I started thinking about a different approach. Instead of trying to make friends on cruise experiences after boarding, what if that connection started earlier?
A simple cruise partner finder idea—where you can see who’s going on the same trip, connect based on shared interests, and start conversations before the cruise even begins. This could make it much easier to make friends on cruise journeys without the initial awkwardness.
I built Seaya.io around this idea, but I’m genuinely curious about different perspectives.
Do you prefer meeting people naturally onboard, or would connecting in advance make your cruise experience better?
