Sports betting instead of work

Do you think it's realistic to eventually replace a regular job with sports betting? Or is it too unstable a source of income?

Personally, I don't see betting as a replacement for my main job. I have a winning streak, when several bets in a row win, and it seems like it could become a steady income. But then a losing streak comes, and everything comes crashing down to reality. I sometimes play using a canadian online sportsbook and try to keep my bankroll under control. If you approach it calmly, betting remains an interesting hobby. Some people I know try to make money from analytics, but it's very time-consuming. So for most people, it's still a supplement to their regular lives.

In my opinion it’s risky to rely on sports betting as a full time income. Even experienced bettors have losing periods, so stability is always a question. For me it works better as a hobby that sometimes brings extra money rather than a replacement for a job.
