Bought a car and a couple months later had to fix stuff

Anyway, guys, I’m not trying to complain, I just want to remind you to be careful and not too trusting. The car looked perfect. Like new. I even thought about bringing a mechanic to check it out, but it seemed so good that I skipped it at the last moment. That was my biggest mistake.

Is there no way to at least get the seller to cover something if something goes wrong? I don’t know if that counts as fraud. Because if you knew ahead of time that the car is only good on the outside, you probably wouldn’t buy it.

I totally get it. I’m trusting myself too, sometimes even naive. I would never hide major issues when selling a car, and somehow I want to believe others do the same. Unfortunately, people are different. Listening to the seller is okay, and you should, but extra checks like a VIN report from FAXVIN and a mechanic’s assessment are really important to get a full picture of what the used car is really like.
