Workouts with music or without?

Music kind of distracts me. When I train in silence, I focus on my breathing, on the overall tempo and rhythm. When there’s music, I keep trying to match it, and I constantly lose focus. Anyone else like that?

Depends, honestly. Sometimes music sets the rhythm and gives that little push to get started. Especially if it’s something upbeat. But I agree, not always in the mood to train with music.

For me, it depends on what I’m doing. In the mornings I always do yoga so my back doesn’t hurt. And just to stretch after sleep. No music there. Not relaxing, not upbeat, not even meditative. Strength training I prefer to do with music. That’s when the energy really kicks in.
