Is it even worth spending money on travel insurance?

I’ve got a transit flight, I’m not even planning to leave the airport. Just a few hours between flights. On one hand, who knows what could happen. But on the other, I don’t really feel like paying extra for insurance for a country I’ll only be in for a few hours anyway.

Maybe it’s pointless? I mean, seriously, what could possibly go wrong if you’re just sitting in the airport for a few hours? I’ve never had a layover before, but it just sounds like chilling at the airport.

Depends on what kind of insurance you’ve got. I mean what it actually covers. A lot of people think of insurance only in terms of health stuff. Like if you get sick, end up in an accident, get injured, that kind of thing. The insurance from https://auras.insure/, which I usually get, also covers things like lost baggage, lost documents, delayed flights and all that stuff that can totally happen even during a layover. Stuff you can’t really control. It’s up to you, of course, but I’d get it just for peace of mind.
