Account security on Instagram is not reliable enough to treat it as your only copy of anything. Hacks happen, accounts get disabled, and getting access back is not guaranteed. Three years of content sitting only on a platform you do not control is a real risk. Went through everything I had posted using SnapInsta and downloaded the full archive over a weekend. Original resolution photos, original quality videos, organized by date on an external drive. That content now exists independently of Instagram. Takes a few hours once but easy to maintain after. Should have done it from the start
