A busy market usually gives me more confidence simply because there are more prices and amounts available to compare. On smaller events, I have sometimes seen sharp jumps that probably would not happen in the same way on a major match. That does not automatically make low-liquidity markets bad, but they require more patience. If I know I might want to change a position during the event, I would rather have plenty of activity on both sides of the market.
