Planning a new sewer line installation in Mississauga

We are planning a major addition to our home in the Mississauga area, including a new basement suite for my parents. The biggest headache so far isn't the framing or the permits—it’s the plumbing. Our current sewer line is quite old, and the contractor suggested that with the increased load, we should probably look into a full line installation rather than just trying to patch into the existing clay pipes. I’ve heard horror stories about back-ups and poor grading causing issues just a few months after the concrete is poured. Does anyone here have experience with local regulations or choosing the right team for this kind of heavy-duty work? I want to make sure it’s done right the first time so I don’t have to dig up my driveway again in five years. Any tips on what to look for in a quote or specific Mississauga requirements would be amazing!
