Weekend March 27th-28th

Ok looks the spring paddling season has begun. This coming weekend there are releases scheduled for Otter Brook in NH and also on the Wesfeild River. Also becuase of the recent rains and snow melt lots of stuff will be running. The quaboug and the millers should be running as well. TC

Im thinking we should head to either the Quaboug or the Millers this Sat. I can only boat one day this weekend. Both rivers are above recommended levels right now but should be more reasonable this Sat. Also Otter Brook has two more releases coming up this spring so Im voting for closer water this weekend. Tc

Upper Millers - Lower will still be too high (for me anyway)

I vote we do the Upper Millers this weekend - and then Lower Millers the following weekend or weekend after - I believe Easter is in there somewhere.

I'm interested in something for Sunday. Otter Brook sounds about my level, so I'd definitely do that. But its also time for me to step up and start pushing myself on some class III's. The question is whether or not this is the weekend that I want to start stepping it up.

Tom, not sure I'm going to be able to paddle this weekend but I'll let you know if I hear anything. I defiantly want to run Millers this spring, hoping not to get messed up in the funnel.

Not too sure about class 4, hardest I've run so far is Quaboag and New Boston.

You will probably just leave me in the dust again in that rocket powered kayak of yours. Didn't know we were racing down the Branch last Saturday. Ha!

What is it about canoe people that makes them turn a 2 hour river into a 4 hour river?

Jeff my good man it's an easy answer - It must be the booze you guys stash in those floaters! No room in a kayak! Thanks for letting Tom's son, Patrick use one of your boats - that was alright. Unfortunately, now he wants to be a canoeist instead of a kayaker. Look what you did! Hope to see you Sunday!
