Yearly spring Ice Breaker on the Branch river (northern R.I.) will be on Sat. March 25. Meeting at the put-in @10am. then run shuttle.
I say 'ha ha' because we haven't seen 'ice' to break the last few years. (Global warming?)
When we had the WW race years ago we kept the river open from blowdowns and that is no longer the case. Last year there were multiple trees down that required getting out and walking around on shore. The rapids are not difficult, but this is not a trip for beginners or the unprepared for cold condition's.
