For me the weekend started Friday at Seboomook . It's a short run (2.5 miles) with 11 ledges to run. Definitely good practice running drops and punching holes. My video is here:

On Saturday we ran the Dead from Spencer Falls to West Forks . With all the rain, we were concerned that the level might be significantly higher than the scheduled release of 1,800 cfs. Andy at the Riverdrivers shuttle service told us that the dam release would be “an honest 1,800 cfs”. With another 550 cfs coming from Spencer Stream, we estimate that the total flow was 2,350 cfs – a nice class III. Since we both had small groups, we ran along side the Boston AMC for mutual support. Fortunately, no one in our group needed support, and there was only one swimmer with the AMC group. She took a long swim in Mile Long, but self rescued at the bottom. I didn’t take any pictures at the Dead, but Tommy Taylor took a few that are included in this album with some of the Seboomook shots:

Earl took some too – hopefully he will post those.
Great weekend – thanks Mike for organizing it.
