You definitely need to get out there at some point. Such a scenic river. A good chunk of the river is through a beautiful gorge. Several small waterfalls cascading down into the river. And if scenery isn't your thing, it also has continuous rapids for pretty much the entire 7+ miles. I think even Paul would have been impressed.
It was only at 1 on the boaters gage yesterday. It was fluid, but not overly big. I'd say mostly a sporty class 2 at that level, few spots had some big waves and holes, maybe nearing class III. Tons of surf spots though and it really is non-stop action. Ed has done it as high as 2.5 and said it gets much bigger, lots of big waves trains but still nothing too technical.
