Not so sure about that - I was the "Lone Rhody" on the Westfield yesterday. I still can't figure out why no one else was interested. This trip had it all - long drive, lousy weather and a real early put-in. I do have to say that the Westfield is a nice river. We’ll have to go back and do some of the other sections.

So here’s my "Lone Rhody" story. I'm the only open boater in the group yesterday, so I figured that I better try of make a good first impression. I ferry out into the river and don’t get 20' from shore when I hit a rock and take a swim. I was in the water before half the group had even launched. Fortunately, it got better from there – it was my only swim of the day. (That rock was probably looking for Andy, but had to settle for me.)

I'd do the race with you sometime, but the expert run on Sunday would probably be more fun.
