Lower Millers trip report

It was my first time on the lower millers. We put on about 11am @ about 40', overcast and windy. The sun did come out and it got brighter as we progressed down stream. Most of the run was pretty easy but fun. The river at 4.6' was wide with plenty of options. Not much rock dodging. Mostly just picking out which waves you wanted to hit. The gradient was pretty steady. Until you get to the funnel. I would say a good solid long class 4 Rapid. After getting out to scout the funnel I decided to portage while Matt, Dan and Paul ran it. Matt went first and had a clean run. Dan went next made down to the last hole , flipped and pulled off a solid combat roll. Paul made it down to the second to last hole and flipped went thru the last hole upside down and quickly got to shore with Matt and Dans help. Just more waves after the funnel to the takeout. You guys made the funnel look pretty easy. I guess Ill run next time.
