If you've read Paul's post from yesterday, you know that he most likely will not be back, so if this is it, was it a satisfying ending for Dan Scott or not?
Personally I'm not satisfied with it.. I expected more. It seems like everyone's story line was wrapped up but Dan's. and for the latter half of this season it's seemed like there was alot of closure going on, and it's felt like a SERIES finale for a while now, and this evening it looked like it.
But every scene Paul was in I was just riveted. I couldn't turn my head away for even a second. Savoring every minute of screen time. The scene with Whitey was just heart-breaking. and then Nathan snubbing him when he goes to see Whitey, but the small smile on Dan's face knowing that Nathan had gotten his dream(and Dan's dream for Nathan).
I'm glad Peyton let Dan hold Sawyer, though she wasn't quite sure about it. Then Karen and Lucas walking up as Dan is leaving. Snubbed again, and maybe rightfully so. But how can you get redemption when the people you want it from won't give it? and the final scene with voiceover, just sad. Dan has no one.. not even Jamie.
If that's it for Dan, I'm done with OTH. I might check out the first episode of Season 7 to see what's up.. but yeah.. I think that's it. For me this was the series finale.
The other storylines. I'm glad Brooke FINALLY went to Julian and said she loved him. About darn time. Brooke and her Mom making up.. I liked that. Mia/Chase, Mouth/Millie just make me feel ill. I'm glad Peyton/Lucas with the birth of Sawyer are finally happy. All that angst is finally gone.
