Sandra asked below in reply to my I'm back from Wilmy post How was it?
Honestly? Much more organized. It used to be you were held up at the door as they put a wristband on before you even entered the building, but they got smart and included the wristband when you picked up your ticket. Willcall was at 8a.m. I think I had my ticket before 9..and then it was another hour wait for the doors to open. The new addition this year was security, don't know why, but if a security detail was necessary..then so be it.
Once inside things got started pretty quickly. The game was fast paced, and fun to watch. However, there seemed to something lacking(and not just Paul not being there). There was(it seemed to me)a lack of spontaneity, despite Jackson(Jamie) competing in a dance-off during half-time. The autograph session started..and it was pretty much stand in line get your autograph, and leave. It wasn't stated at the start that you had to gather your stuff before you entered the line because you'd be leaving. They sold raffle tickets, and there were also items from the show being auctioned off.. it went pretty well at the beginning but as the crowd lessened, the less items went for. Some of the items auctioned off were Peyton's drawings, the Karen's Cafe sign(the one that lit up), a Haley James album cover, and numerous things I can't remember now. eek.. Don't ask me how I got to stay til the end, but I did. Friends of a friend paid to be last in line(they did the same last year), and noone questioned that I was still sitting in the bleachers.
all in all I had a good time. Glad I was able to meet up with my friends again...and certainly I missed Paul(hope work in L.A. went well)
