Hi Lindsey. Thank you for inquiring about OAMS. We are a group that meets the first & third Fridays each month at Powellhurst Baptist Church (meeting room)3435 SE 112th (Powell Blvd.). Meetings start at 7pm. We do have a Juniors group (meets on the first Friday)that includes up to 18 yr olds or you could choose to attend the general meeting.
There is no requirement to attend all meetings.
I do not personally know Byron, but we have worked with the OMSI Camp Hancock since it's inception. OAMS was responsible for the creation of this Camp and it is named after one of our pioneer members.
We have speakers at some of our meetings and we also have a "craft night" when we bring in equipment to learn and practice lapidary skills.
