The winning team will receive 6 Easton bats with the Runner-up getting 3 Easton bats, and 3rd place 1 Easton bat.
The entry fee for 2020 will $250.00 and that includes the NSA Paper Roster Sanction fees. ALL teams entering must go to www.playnsa.com and register their team as a Paper Roster team. Once the team has a sanction number, they may enter the Birchfield. The 2020 Birchfield will be limited to 16 teams. To hold your spot, a team must pay the entire entry fee or a $100.00 deposit. There will be no limit on team/player class for 2020. There will be a 4 Homerun limit with any additional over the fence HR counted as an out. NSA rules will govern play and all equipment (bats and balls) used must meet NSA standards.
As usual, the Birchfield Committee will have food, soft drinks and water available and they ask for just a donation. Teams are encouraged to bring pop-up tents and coolers and make a weekend of this event. The tourney bracket will be done by a blind draw being held at Sweet Lou’s (421 & 2) on Wednesday May 20 at 6:30 PM.
Team should enter by contacting Jim Kimmel 765-730-0891 or jkimmel@playnsa.com. Payment or deposit may be made via PayPal, credit card, cash, or company check.
There are many events that “CLAIM” to be benefit events, but the Birchfield Memorial may be one of very few throughout the county that has a Board that oversees the 501c3 non-profit organization. Every penny of profit raised goes into the City Park. Improvements include a $40,000+ basketball court, thousands in new playground equipment (including equipment that is handicap accessible), and in 2020 the committee with re-top and re-crown both fields and add new bases and pitching rubbers.
