52 years ago yesterday, November 20th, 1973, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving made its debut on the CBS television network. It was the tenth prime-time animated television special based upon the popular comic strip Peanuts, by Charles M. Schulz. It won an Emmy Award the following year. It was the third holiday special after A Charlie Brown Christmas in 1965 and It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown in 1966. A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving was one of the most popular TV animated TV specials of all time on the CBS television network.
