I have a number of steel pennies. I used to visit my bank with an ammo case containing rolls of Pennie’s and exchange them for more rolls.

Took them home, dumped them out and moved a Model T magnet over the pile to collect all the steel ones. Then I would view the rest to remove certain dated and mint marked ones.
