Take a look at these Fit Paws products. The top agility trainers use them to develop balance and povide core conditioning. I bought the Peanut and harness for my dog and will start using it tomorrow.

This is really great - It strange as i mentioned using a ball to my Canine Myotherapy tutor, but the human ones were no robust enough especially if you have a dog that goes a bit 'ridged at first' this would be great for rehab too.
