I am a senior judge with 25 events and two cooks under my belt, and have fulfilled the requirement of assistant table captain and table captain. The two teams I cooked with has talked me into cooking at an event. If I cook at an event will that count as a cook. My understanding that the purpose of cooking with a team is the you as a judge has first hand experience of what it takes to cook at an event. In my opinion cooking as your own team is the ultimate experience of understanding what the cook teams go through. So basically if cook and sign my own golden sheet does it count?

Brian, Yes, judges who compete as a cook team or are a member of a team may count one (1) SCBA competition cook towards their judges advancement requirements.
