Saturday was such a great day for me. I was released from the hospital, learned I was to receive the President’s Award, and was visited by Don, Marcia, and Brian, who officially presented the award. I have been honored to be a part of the SCBA since July of 2014 and it has been a great journey. I have judged, taught, and marshalled, and have have enjoyed every minute. I have also been encouraged by your support and your prayers. They have meant a lot. I am looking forward to being at the Mauldin event. Hope to see you there.

Gene, I don't know anyone more deserving that you, congratulations on receiving the President's Award. Prayers continue to go up for your quick and complete recovery. Looking forward to seeing you back on the BBQ Trail. Love you my Barbeque Brother.
