Hot off the press.
Project Host BBQ competition is October 1 & 2. To showcase this annual event’s new downtown location next to St Mary Catholic Church, the new event organizer would like to welcome everyone by waving the $250 entry fee. Other fees and charges still apply: 50 amp electric and the buy-in for the rib / brisket throwdowns, etc., but also new this year is a split vend for Friday’s Anything Butt contest.
Now is the time to hop off the fence and act! Space is limited to the first 20 teams.
The fastest way to reserve your spot is to click the link below and complete the online registration form. A Project Host representative will get back in touch with you to confirm your application and go over any details to complete your registration. For teams who've already submitted the $250 entry fee the organizer will be in contact with you to make arrangements.
Project Host helps fight food insecurity in the greater Greenville area by feeding the hungry through their Soup Kitchen and Cooking for Kids program, training and educating the un- and underemployed in our CC Pearce Culinary School and paying it forward through their social enterprises—the HostMobile food truck and the Bakery. Events like the annual BBQ contest gives Project Host the opportunity to engage with members of the wider Greenville community to raise awareness about the issue of hunger and to raise money to support their free meal and training programs. Don’t forget to checkout their Community Dinners and other events!
