I would like to thank the Cook Teams, Judges and volunteers who came out this weekend to support The Griller's Cup at Lakewood Campgrounds in their efforts to raise money for Back Pack Buddies.
As in the previous years, we had another great event. Perfect weather, a good crowd on both Friday night and Saturday and plenty of good barbeque. What more could you ask for? How about the 4th Annual Griller's Cup already scheduled for September 29-30, 2017.
I would also like to thank my SCBA team for all their help and support and of course Claude McSwain, Head Honcho and Organizer of the Griller's Cup, who without him this event would not be possible.
We had a great time competing. Loved the campground. The kids and wife loved the water park. On the beach? Best setting I've ever cooked at. I hope we put to rest that we cook real BBQ. We would have liked to score better, but had a great cook and enjoyed meeting all the great teams that dominate. Depending on how much help I have in the restaurant, I'd love to compete more. Thanks for having us.
