A big shout out to all the Cook teams and Judges that participated in the 2nd Annual Florence Flamingos Brews and Que. Thank you for making this event very successful. I can’t say enough about the awesome job Blake Bearden and his crew did putting this event together again this year. The Carolina Bank Field is an awesome venue. Moving the date from December to August was a success, weather a little warm, but so much nicer. Having a Chicken Bog contest on Friday night was quite different and was a success. Adding a car show this year was a nice addition as well.
Friday night Chicken Bog Winners were: 1st Place, Harry J’s; 2nd Place, Backwoods Bar-B-Que; 3rd Place Smoke Til You’re Broke
Saturday Winners were in Ribs: 1st Place, Backwoods Bar-B-Que; 2nd Place, Tail-Gater Hater; and 3rd Place, Blazin’ Bullets Barbeque; 4th Place, Smoke Til You’re Broke.
The winners in Butts were: 1st Place, Blazin’ Bullets Barbeque; 2nd Place, Monkey Bottom Boys; and the 3rd Place, Backwoods Bar-B-Que; and 4th Place Tail-Gater Hater
Congratulations to the Reserve Grand Champion Blazin’ Bullets Barbeque and the Grand Champion for Backwoods Bar-B-Que.
There were 8-16+s in ribs and 8-16+s in butts. Congratulations to everyone that got a call
