A big shout out to all the cook teams and judges that participated in the 1st Annual Pork & Piggin’ BBQ Cook-Off at the H. Cooper Black Jr. Recreation Area, sponsored by the Rudy Masonic Lodge 314. Thank you for making this event very successful. I can’t say enough about the awesome job the Robert (Sonny) Burr and the guys from the Masonic Lodge did putting this event together. Also, want to thank the State Park for being such a gracious host and for the use of the facilities.
Saturday Winners were in Ribs: 1st Place, Backwoods Bar-B-Que; 2nd Place, Monkey Bottom Boys; 3rd Place, Blazin’ Bullets Barbeque and 4th Place was Wilson’s B Cooking.
The winners in Butts were: 1st Place, Monkey Bottom Boys; 2nd Place, Backwoods Bar-B-Que; and the 3rd Place winner was, Blazin’ Bullets Barbeque.
Congratulations to the Reserve Grand Champion Monkey Bottom Boys and the Grand Champion Backwoods Bar-B-Que.
There were 4-16+s in ribs and 4-16+s in butts. Congratulations to everyone that got a call
