There will be a Chicken Wing Competition featuring approximately ____ BBQ Cookers on Friday Night at 6:00 PM, judged by local judges. Saturday we will be judging 2 categories: BUTTS and some of the teams will cook RIBS.
I can use a few judges help on Friday Night, i.e. Table Captains, receiving table, and runners. If you are available, please let me know asp.
The judges meeting will start promptly at 9:00 AM. Please note that we have assigned judges to specific tables to insure an equal distribution of Master, Senior, and Certified judges at each table. You will find your table assignment on the sign in sheet. Butts will be judged at 10:00 AM and Ribs will be judged at 11:00 AM. If you are receiving an Apron, Senior Hat, or Master Hat and have not notified me or posted it on the website sign-up page, please get in touch with me so that I can ensure that I have one available to present it to you for all your hard work.
If you have a family member that is cooking with a team you will not be able to judge at this event, but we can assign you to other duties. Please let me know in advance. Also, please remember not to fraternize with the cook teams on Saturday morning until all judging is officially over. A quick hello and good luck is acceptable.
We encourage you to stay after judging to go out and meet the teams (this is an excellent way to find a team to cook with for you folks that want to advance in the SCBA ranks) let them know we appreciate them being there. Also, they will have vendors, arts and crafts, bands, and entertainment for the kids for you to enjoy.
