A big shout out to all the cook teams and judges that participated in the Annual Pickin’ & Piggin’ in the Park. I want to thank everyone for a very successful event. We could not have pulled it off with each and every one of you folks. A big thanks to Lindsay Hudson the new Organizer for the Saluda Shoals Pickin’ and Piggin’ on doing such a great job this year! We are looking forward to working with you for many years to come.
Our first-place winner in the Butts category was All Smoked Up, Gary Taylor with a score of 16+; and the second-place winner Pimp My Pig, Dean Price and also with a score of 16+; third-place went to One Eyed Pig, Kenny O’Shields; and fourth-place went to Tail Gater Hater, Phillip Miles.
In the Rib category the first place went to Blazin’ Bullets Barbeque, Ken Hillard with a score of 16+; in second-place was Backwoods Bar-B-Que, Gene Culbertson also with a score of 16; third-place went to Pimp My Pig, Dean Price; and fourth-place went to S’Lowcountry Q, Quentin Tedder. Congratulations to all that got a call!
A special thanks to all the judges that performed the special assignments for me.
