Man it has been a long time, too long, since a SCBA Event!! I am and I know ya'll are excited as well to get back to it!!

Florence Judges!! Thank you all for signing up!! We have 20 teams! There is a Friday night anything Butt competion with two Catagories. 1-Sweet and 2- Savory. Feel free to come out and enjoy this event from 5pm to 9pm.

We have 20 teams participating this year. All the teams will be competing in Butts with most of the teams competing in Ribs. Official turn-in is 10:00 am for Butts and 11:00 am for Ribs. We will start our Judge’s meeting at 9:00 am so please be signed in by then. We will discuss information about the event; go over new changes for the year; judging duties, and present aprons and hats to those moving up in the SCBA ranks. If you are due to receive an apron or hat please let me know before Saturday. Please remember to bring your "gold" sheet.
If one of your family members is cooking with a team, you will not be able to judge but you can perform other duties to help out with the event. Please remember not to fraternize with the Cook Teams or enter their cooking area on Saturday morning until all judging is officially over. A quick "Hello" and "Good Luck" is fine though.
After judging on Saturday, the sampling opens to the public at noon and includes beer, BBQ and more great music. The awards ceremony will start about 2:30
